About the Topic

In this presentation, we’ll cover the practical, applied-side of social media – including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube - at a large non-profit cancer research center. You’ll hear about what we’ve done and why, lessons we’ve learned and what we’re considering for the future. The discussion will include metrics, ROI (return on intangibles), and advice to those getting started.

What's In It for You?

Laura Haroldson will share:

  • Social media is a conversation – don’t just talk about yourself. Dialogue is a great way to build trust in your brand.
  • Consistency is key – both with regular updates and tone and voice. To that end, we’ll share some ideas on how to staff for social media.
  • No one has all of the answers yet but we’ll let you in on how we’re tracking our social media interactions and tips that have helped us in this new arena.
