College Relations

The mission of PSAMA College Relations is simple: to supply Puget Sound area college students who desire careers in marketing with the information, community and local job market support they need.

College Relations is comprised of three committees.

Committee 1: College Connection

The College Connection committee is responsible for establishing relationships with the various Puget Sound universities and colleges. Currently, PSAMA is working with the following schools:

  • University of Washington: AMA Collegiate Chapter
  • Central Washington University: AMA Chapter
  • Washington State University: Business Department
  • Western Washington University: Business Department
  • Seattle University
  • Seattle Pacific University
  • Pacific Lutheran University

If you are a student or a student organization that is interested in becoming involved with PSAMA, please contact Merl Simpson at merlins@seanet.com.

Committee 2: PSAMA Speakers Bureau

The PSAMA helps connect speakers and marketing professionals with students at regional universities that are looking for meeting speakers and guests. Whether you are a seasoned pro or would just like to share what it’s like to do what you do, you can help marketing students learn more about marketing in the real world.

Speakers: Are you a speaker that would like to share your knowledge with students from regional marketing clubs? Download an application PDF.

Students: Are you a student looking for a guest speaker? Contact Merl Simpson at merlins@seanet.com and let her know what type of speaker or guest you are looking for.

Committee 3: Mentorship Program

Through the Mentorship Program, college and university students (or anyone new to marketing) can benefit from the advice and mentoring of marketing professionals. The program also offers seasoned marketers the opportunity to share what they've learned and to give back to the community through leadership.

To participate, please contact Merl Simpson at merlins@seanet.com.
